Holiday Gratitude Day 8

Today I’m grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the Feast of St. Andrew the Apostle, and to remember my 5th anniversary of my ordination as a priest in Christ’s Church. I give thanks for the opportunity to serve in this way, for the many and varied blessings of ministry. For the people, places, and programs, for the deep honor of administering the sacraments, and of journeying with God’s people as a fellow pilgrim on The Way. I’m grateful also today for more rain and wind upon my face, for Oreos (and the wicked fact that they are vegan), for green tea with lemon, for my favorite mug, and for the simple joy of changing calendars with Phoebe and James in preparation for December 1 tomorrow.
